In persuade of keeping sarpang clean and to foster cooperation among people towards managing waste, sarpang dzongkhag initiated a program "trash tag challenge" which went viral in mainstream and social media over resent past.
Total of approximately 300 volunteers which comprises of Hon'ble Dasho Dzongdag, Dzongkhag staffs, Divisional Forest, Sarpang, RBP, DoR sub-divisional office, Sarpang, business community, Bhutan Telecom, BoB and BDBL branch offices, post office, Sarpang Hospital and business community has participated at the program.
The volunteers has picked trashes of one garbage truck accumulated over last several years at the illegal dump site.
