Every year World Rabies Day is observed on 28 September. This year’s theme ‘Rabies: One Health, Zero Deaths’. It is celebrated annually to raise awareness about rabies prevention, progress and strategies in combating the horrifying disease. As a part of World Rabies Day, the Dzongkhag Livestock Sector, Sarpang Dzongkhag Administration will observe the day with the following activities: • Rabies educational awareness program at Sarpang Central School. • Carry out vaccination in dog and cat against rabies • Distribution of rabies education leaflet to those availing the vaccination • Circulate rabies educational information leaflet to all field colleagues to keep them abreast of new development.
