Planning
The Planning Sector of Sarpang plays a vital role in guiding the district’s development activities by formulating and coordinating policies, plans, and programs. It works closely with gewogs, sectors, and central agencies to ensure that the Five-Year Plans and other national priorities are implemented efficiently and inclusively. The sector is responsible for aligning local development needs with national goals, particularly emphasizing equitable socio-economic growth and infrastructure development. It also monitors and evaluates the progress of various development projects to ensure transparency and accountability.
Background
In addition to plan coordination, the Planning Sector facilitates resource allocation and mobilization to ensure balanced development across all gewogs in the dzongkhag. It serves as a bridge between the local government and central agencies, ensuring timely submission of Annual Performance Agreements (APA) and aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The sector plays a key role in prioritizing community needs, integrating disaster risk reduction, and ensuring effective service delivery mechanisms in Sarpang Dzongkhag.
