Livestock
The Livestock sector in Sarpang Dzongkhag plays a vital role in enhancing rural livelihoods and food security. With a largely agrarian population, livestock farming provides a reliable source of income, nutrition, and employment for many households. The dzongkhag supports a wide range of livestock development programs including dairy, poultry, piggery, and goat farming.
Background
In addition to economic benefits, the sector contributes significantly to national food self-sufficiency goals.
