Statistic Unit
The Statistics Unit of Sarpang Dzongkhag plays a vital role in collecting, compiling, analyzing, and disseminating data relevant to the socio-economic development of the Dzongkhag. The unit supports evidence-based planning and decision-making by providing timely and reliable statistical information to various sectors including health, education, agriculture, and infrastructure. It collaborates closely with the National Statistics Bureau (NSB) to ensure consistency in data standards and reporting methodologies.
Background
In addition to its core duties, the unit also conducts field surveys, monitors local-level development indicators, and assists in preparing annual reports, performance agreements, and development plans.
