In coinciding with the auspicious  63rd Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the 4th Druk Gyelpo, Sarpang Dzongkhag celebrated the 50th years of Bhutan India Diplomatic relationship on 11th November at Gelephu public ground. As invited  guest District Commissioners of  Kokrajhar & Chirang and Indian delegates  of Assam  participate to witness the program. The program was attended by Dasho Dzongda as a Chief guest and lam Neten, Director of Law &Order, Director of Immigration, Officials from RBA &RBP, Dasho Thrompon, Dasho Dzongrab, Dasho Drangrab, Regional & Sector heads, Gensho Tshogpa members and public  under Sarpang Dzongkhag to mark the day. The day begin with the reciting of Zhabten, offering of Marching ceremony  followed by march past & various cultural programs from the students. A Marathon and football friendly match was organised and was participated by under 18 (male & female) of two countries to further strengthen Bhutan & India friendship. Apart, Bhutanese cuisine were showcased in the stalls and traditional games demonstration are organised for Indian delegates. The day was ended with the awarding of prizes to the winners and Tashi labay.
