In a modest celebration, the 114th Nation Day is commemorated at the August institution of Sarpang Rabdey, Gelephu. Graced by Dasho Dzongdag as Chief Guest for the day, Lam Neten, Dasho Drangpon, Dasho Dzongrab, Armed Force Officers, Regional Heads, and Sectorheads from the Dzongkhag Administration, Sarpang attended the day of utmost significance.
The day commenced with the unfurling of Guru Tshengye Thongdrel followed by hoisting of National Flags, lighting of thousand butter lamps, offering of Zhabten to The Druk Gyalpo of Bhutan, and attending the National Day Royal address by The Druk Gyalpo of Bhutan. The program was followed by the awarding of the prizes and certificates to the winners of the intra-Dzongkhag Essay competition on Dzongkha and English categories.
On the momentous occasion of 114th National Day, the Dzongkhag Administration, Sarpang, and the people of Sarpang Dzongkhag would like to rededicate ourselves to serve the TSA-WA-SUM with renewed energy and new vigor. We offer our sincere prayers for the good health and long life of His Majesty The King, His Majesty The Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, HRH Gyalsey Jigme Namgyal Wangchuck, and the Members of the Royal Family.
