Armed men rob a house in Sarpang |

Five to six miscreants robbed the house of Parti Maya Gurung of Tshokorling village in Sarpang. The incident occurred at around 10 pm last night. The miscreants were armed with handmade guns and dressed in camouflage uniform.
Parti Maya was in Phuentsholing at the time of the incident. The house was left under the care of two caretakers. The caretakers escaped unhurt. Her house is located at the end of the village, which is about 150 metres from the border.
The armed man robbed some blankets, a rice cooker, a mobile phone, utensils and a rechargeable lamp.
A news release from the police said it is likely that the miscreants have entered from Katoury Khola and exited from the same route.
The police suspect the miscreants to be from across the border. The incident has been reported to the SSB and the case is under investigation. |
