HEHE No Vehicle Day |

With the inspiring initiation of HEHE No Vehicle day at Thimphu by the agriculture minister, Lyonpo Dr. Pema Jamtsho, all staff led by Dasho Dzongdag, Sarpang also walked to their offices. To observe ‘No Vehicle Day’ all staff left their cars behind and contributes to small and practical event.
HEHE helping our environment, Health and Economy is aimed at reducing air and noise pollution, vehicular traffic, increasing public space and reducing costs of living.
In this event, about more than 50 people took part in Sarpang led by Dasho Dzongdag and 60-70 people participated at Gelephu led by Dasho Dungpa. The walks were coordinated by territorial Forest Division and Park management respectively.
It is said to be continued every Tuesday to walk towards ones office and back home in the evening.
