Background
Jigmichhoeling Gewog is the biggest gewog in the Dzongkhag. The total area of the gewog is 471.5 Square kilometer. It comprises of 13 chiwogs and 30 villages. Its total population is 5229 with 518 households. It is located at a higher altitude than other Gewogs, on the Gelephu-Zhemgang highway. The climatic condition favors production of all kinds of cereal and cash crops. The major crops grown in the Gewog is paddy, wheat, millet, maize and cash crops cardamom and orange.
