Background
Taraythang (Taklai) Gewog is one of the remotest Gewog in the Dzongkhag. It comprises of 11 villages with 99 households. Its population is 506. The total area of the geog is 399 Square kilometer.Taraythang (Taklai) gewog is located towards the east end of Dzongkhag and it is least developed compared to other geogs. Due to security reasons, it was left without settlement for sometime. The resettlement program has started recently.
