Reti , the most remote village under Sarpang Dzongkhag which was under Nobji-Kurphu Geog under Trongsa till 2006, was handed over to Sarpang Dzongkhag in 2006. Reti is 4 days walk from Jigmechholing and it has 19 households and a population of around 150. It has a community school which was started by HRH Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck in 2002. Now Reti community Pry school has 65 students with two teachers and classes from pp to five.

The Election Commission of Bhutan has already notified the submission of Postal Ballot forms for conducting Election of National Council for 2007. In this regard, the Election Sector would like to remind all concern organization falling under Sarpang Dzongkhag to send the Postal Ballot application form to your respective Returning Officer of your own Constituency. For your easy access, you may collect the forms either from the Election Office or download form the website of Election Commission of Bhutan (www.election-bhutan.org.bt).

Visit of His Excellency the Lyonpo, MoA |

The Lyonpo Dr. Pema Jamtso, Ministry of Agriculture will be visiting sarpang Dzongkhag for three days visit on 4th september 2008.The main objectives of the tour are: 1. To review and assess the situation of human-wild elephant conflicts especially pertaining to the crop and other in fracture damage by elephants. 2. To review the on-going and proposed project activities particularly the Livestock(piggery & fishery) production program. 3. To review the ongoing animal and plant quarantine program including the infrastructures. In this regards, RNR sector would like to request all the sector heads to take part in the reception at Royal Guest House Sarpang around 11:30am on the 4th September 2008.
